What is Digital Memoirs?

Digital Memoirs is an app that helps you write your life story through daily reflection questions. Answer thoughtful prompts about different chapters of your life, and our AI transforms your responses into beautifully written memoir chapters.

How does it work?

1. Choose a life theme (Childhood, Family, Career, etc.)

2. Select a 7-day or 30-day sprint

3. Answer one question per day

4. When complete, AI crafts your responses into a polished memoir chapter

5. Edit, add photos, and share with family

Is Digital Memoirs free?

The app is free to download and use. You can answer questions, create sprints, add photos, and invite family members at no cost. Premium features like AI response improvement require a subscription.

Digital Memoirs is available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your content syncs across all your devices when signed in with the same Apple ID.

What are sprints?

Sprints are focused writing periods where you answer daily questions about a specific life theme. Choose between:

• 7-Day Sprint: A focused week exploring one theme deeply

• 30-Day Sprint: A comprehensive month-long journey for a richer chapter

What life themes can I write about?

Digital Memoirs offers 10 life themes:

Can I edit the AI-generated chapters?

Yes! AI-generated chapters are starting points. You have full control to edit, rewrite, add details, or completely change any part of your chapter.

Yes. You can add photos to your sprints and chapters. Photos can be displayed in galleries or interspersed throughout your chapter text.

Can I add photos to my memoir?

Family Sharing

Can I share my memoir with family?

es! You can invite family members to view your chapters, add comments, and contribute their own memories and perspectives.

How do I invite family members?

Go to the Family & Friends section, tap "Invite," and send them an invitation link. They'll need to download Digital Memoirs and accept your invitation.

What can family members see?

Only what you choose to share. You control which chapters and sprints are visible to each family member.

Yes, if you enable contributions. Family members can add their own memories, photos, and perspectives to your shared chapters—creating a richer, multi-generational story.

Can family members add to my memoir?

How do I sign in?

Digital Memoirs uses Sign in with Apple for secure, private authentication. Just tap "Sign in with Apple" and authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your memoir content is stored securely and only accessible to you (and family members you explicitly invite). We don't sell your data, show ads, or track your behavior. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored locally on your device and backed up to our secure cloud servers when you sign in. This enables syncing across devices and family sharing features.

Yes. Go to Settings → Delete All Data to permanently remove all your memoir content from the app and our servers.

Can I delete my data?

What's included in Premium?

Premium unlocks:

• AI-powered chapter generation

• Response improvement suggestions

• Unlimited cloud photo storage

How much does Premium cost?

Pricing is displayed in the app before purchase. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Manage your subscription in your Apple ID settings:

1. Open iPhone Settings

2. Tap your name → Subscriptions

3. Select Digital Memoirs

4. Tap Cancel Subscription

Subscriptions are non-refundable for partial periods. You'll retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

Do I get a refund if I cancel?

AI Features

How does AI chapter generation work?

When you complete a sprint, our AI reads all your responses and crafts them into a cohesive, well-written memoir chapter. It preserves your voice and stories while improving flow and readability.

Is my content used to train AI?

No. We use OpenAI's API with data retention disabled. Your memoir content is processed to generate your chapters but is not stored or used for AI model training.

Can I use the app without AI features?

Yes. You can answer questions, write your own chapters manually, add photos, and share with family—all without using AI features.

Troubleshooting

Why can't I generate a chapter?

Chapter generation requires:

• A completed sprint (all questions answered)

• An internet connection

Why aren't my changes syncing?

Check that you're signed in and have an internet connection. Try pulling down to refresh or signing out and back in.

The app crashed. What should I do?

We automatically collect crash reports to fix issues. If problems persist, try:

1. Force quit and reopen the app

2. Restart your device

3. Update to the latest app version

4. Contact support if the issue continues
